Bobby Rahal Automotive Group will be sponsoring two car washes on the above dates and time and
40% of all proceeds will be donated to the CV ICE HOCKEY CLUB.
The CV ICE HOCKEY CLUB will give a credit for the 2009-20010 ice fees to any player or potential
player who participates in the car wash for either or both dates. The automated car wash will be used
for the exterior cleaning of the vehicle, but help is needed for towel drying, window cleaning and
vacuuming.
The amount credited to each participant for their efforts will be based on the contribution amount and
the number of hours worked by each participant up to a maximum of $200.00. For clarification on how
this will be calculated, please see the example that follows;
Car wash #1 on August 9th produces $1,000* in car wash sales. CV Ice Hockey will receive $400.00.
The $400.00 distribution will then be calculated in the following manner:

Name             Hrs Worked          % of Total                Amt of credit

Jeff                        1                        4.76%                        $19.04

FAQ

IN ANTICIPATION OF QUESTIONS ABOUT THE PROGRAM, WE HAVE LISTED THE FOLLOWING Q & A.
FOR ANY ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS, CONTACT OUR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, TONY
COOK AT 766-4300, EXT 1467

Q.        Is there a maximum credit amount I can make?
A.        Yes, the maximum you can earn for each car wash is $200.00

Q.        What if I work the car wash and then decide not to play hockey or don’t make the team?
A.        The credit to your account will go to the club. You will not be eligible for any cash or refund
whatsoever.

Q.        What happens if it rains on the day of the car wash?
A.        If there is an alternate date available, we will reschedule. However, much of the summer is filled
by other community fund raiser washes.

Q.        Is there a minimum credit amount a participant will make?
A.        No. It all depends on the number of paying car washes and the number of players who work.

Q.        Will I be expected to drive or operate any equipment other than the vacuum?
A.        No- The Rahal staff will move vehicles and operate the automatic car wash. A participant will be
expected to vacuum the inside of the vehicle, wash the windows and towel dry the vehicle. Please note-
Quality is top priority. If the group is expected to be invited back for another fund raiser, they need to do a
good job.

Q.        Are all of the cars washed, paying customers?
N.        No.  Vehicles that are in for service get a free car wash. The customer may upgrade and does
pay the difference which counts towards the day’s receipts.

Q. Can I tell people to come to the car wash that day to get their vehicle washed?
A. Absolutely- The more customers we have, the more a player will make. The car wash has many
regular customers, but the more that participate during the six hour period, the better you will do.

Q.        Do you need to sign a waiver?
A.        Yes- All participants that come to help must sign a waiver due to the fact they are working around
vehicles.

Q.        What should I wear?
A.        Shorts or long pants and something with your group’s logo. Shorts or pants should fit “correctly”
at the waist. Please refrain from wearing jewelry or belt buckles as they may scratch a customer’s
vehicle while you are working on it.

Q.        What times can I work?
A.        The hours for the event are from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You may work a minimum of one hour or
a maximum of six. You need to register with the Car Wash Coordinator who will mark record your hours.
At the end of your “shift” you will also need to let the coordinator know so you get proper credit for the
hours worked.

Q.         What is the most important thing I should do to prepare?
A.        Tell everyone you know to get their vehicle washed the day of the event. Remember, the more
cars washed translates to more money for you and your group.

Q.        What car wash vehicles qualify for the day’s receipts?
A.        ALL paying customers, regardless of affiliation with the event will be counted toward the day’s
receipts.

Q.        How do I sign up?
A.        Call John Rickards at 576-9820 and let him know the date and time you will be working.

Q.        Is there a maximum number of players that can work?
A.        No, however we will try to arrange the schedule to maximize your potential credit.

Q.        Are there any cars/trucks that cannot go through the car wash?
A.        Yes, any Jeep Cherokee and Laredo, some BMWs, Ford 250 series trucks, soft top convertibles,
and “lowered” vehicles.

Q.        Do I need to bring anything when I come?
A.        You may want to bring snacks and water. Rahal Auto Group will supply all water and supplies for
the car wash.
